Turn-Key Kit

  • What do you need to know to start a volunteer driver program?

  • What decisions need to be made?

  • What about liability and insurance?

  • Who will receive rides?

  • Who can be a volunteer driver?

  • How will the service work?

  • How much will it cost and how will it be paid for?

  • How do the programs of other organizations work?

  • Who might be our partners?

  • Where do we start?

The Turnkey Kit is a free, practical, “how to” technical assistance tool for organizations and agencies who are ready to plan and implement user friendly, convenient, and economical  transportation services for older adults who are unable to use standard public transportation alternatives.  The kit includes materials that can be downloaded to assist not only in planning and implementation of a service, but also to help with evaluation of planned or existing programs.
