Hired by JFS 1999. During the past ten years I have worked consistently in the Older Adult Services Department in a variety of roles. I was promoted as the Director of Transportation July 2008.
Time in Current Position:
A little over a year.
Special programs initiated:
Transportation has been a special focus for me over the past ten years. I have supervised a variety of transportation services and have consistently strived to improve delivery. After researching transportation models through out the country; I developed and initiated a volunteer-driver program service, Rides & Smiles, in 2004.

Accomplishments:
San Diego County Channel 10 News Leadership Award in 2005, Association of Jewish Family & Children’s Agencies Leadership Award in 2006, JFS Henrietta Rubenstein Staff Development Award in 2006, and San Diego Jewish Communal Professional Award in 2007.
Special plans developed:
Building on the success of Rides & Smiles, JFS recently developed an entire transportation department, On the Go: Transportation Solutions for Older Adults. On the Go has three supplemental transportation options: Shuttles, Excursions, and Rides & Smiles.
Educational background:
Earned my undergraduate degree at San Diego State University in Social Work. I am currently in graduate school at University of San Diego working towards a Master in Non Profit Leadership & Management.
Other work experience:
Prior to working at JFS, I worked in the field of recreation. It’s important to have fun at work!
Special Interests:
When I am not working or completing school work, I enjoy outdoors activities, including: gardening, camping and hiking.
